Tattoo is a new open-source content management system and application framework aimed at making sense in the cluttered world of web content. Tattoo comes from the same guys behind the popular ModX CMS.

The concept behind their new identity and website is the “make your mark” handprint: a graphic symbol that can be fully customized by its users in terms of color, pattern, and implementation. The design of the site also focuses on the do-it-yourself aspects of the brand, trying to reinforce the idea that Tattoo is ultimately about empowering the users.
